Odder Kommune - developing and implementing multi-tiered social impact investments
not a box assists Odder Municipality with development, implementation and scaling of a series of social impact investments
Approach
Odder Municipality is implementing a social prescribing model as part of a strategic focus on prevention, social innovation and integrated pathways across health, social services and civil society. The initiative addresses non‑medical factors affecting health and well‑being, such as loneliness, stress and mental distress.
not a box contributes as strategic and methodological partner, supporting the design, implementation and learning architecture of the initiative. Drawing on experience from Danish and international social prescribing models, not a box supports model development, stakeholder alignment and the translation of policy ambitions into coherent practice.
The project consists of two parallel tracks built on the same core model: a population‑based adult programme (18+), supported by The Danish Social Investment Fund (DSI), and a complementary initiative for children, young people and families co‑funded by DSI and the Centre for Childhood Health. Delivery is anchored in link workers and supported by the digital platform Socialkompasset.
Impact
Over the next three years, the initiative is expected to reach around 500 adults and contribute to improved well‑being, self‑management and social participation. Through ongoing evaluation and learning, the project will generate actionable insights into what works, supporting quality, scalability and future transfer to other municipalities and target groups.
