Banedanmark: kickstarting a large-scale construction project

To ensure a strong foundation for collaboration on a major infrastructure project, not a box conducted a series of start-up workshops on behalf of the Danish railway operator Banedanmark

Approach
The aim was to establish a shared understanding, build trust, and align expectations between Banedanmark and the project’s technical advisor. The process was grounded in interest-based collaboration, drawing on negotiation theory and behavioural insights to strengthen team cohesion and decision-making.

The approach included three full-day workshops, followed by a reflection and evaluation session. Through structured dialogue, practical exercises, and co-created tools such as a behavioural code and leadership principles, the project team was equipped to navigate complexity and maintain momentum throughout the project’s lifecycle.

Impact
The workshops provided a platform for early alignment on project goals, risks, and working structures. By integrating tools such as mirror analysis, the process helped identify potential pitfalls while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The follow-up session ensured that agreements were translated into action, supporting a high-performing, resilient project team.
